Frederick J. Blumenfeld, D.D.S.
General Dentist

Dr. Blumenfeld was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in biology and chemistry in 1965. In 1969, he graduated from Meharry Medical School of Dentistry. The discovery of his daughter’s deafness after two years into an Oral Surgery Residency Program at the University of Miami Medical School necessitated his withdraw from the program.

Once Dr. Blumenfeld completed his obligation to the military at Fort Meade, he, his wife and their two children settled in Miami, Florida where he practiced dentistry for twelve years. When his daughter’s educational opportunities were found to be less than adequate, he sold his practice and moved his family to Maryland. Today, Dr. Blumenfeld and his wife are enjoying their empty nest and three beautiful grandchildren.

Over 35 years of professional experience allows Dr. Blumenfeld to pursue all phases of general dentistry with particular emphasis on conscious sedation and cosmetic dentistry. As Dr. Blumenfeld explains, “The most gratifying part of my profession is restoring smiles knowing that my patients no longer need to fear a painful experience in the dental chair.”
