Kathleen T. Frankle,
D.D.S., M.S.
Endodontist

Dr. Frankle is a 1985 graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She, subsequently, completed a one year general residency, followed by a two year endodontic residency, obtaining a Certificate in Endodontics as well as an M.S. in Oral Biology in 1988. 

Dr. Frankle has been in full time private practice in Washington, D.C. and Maryland since 1988. She has been active in several committees and organizations in the dental community:

• Member of the executive committee of the Southern Maryland Dental Society
• Member of several study clubs, including the Edward C. Pennick Endodontic Study Club
• Past president of the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists
• Through the Maryland State Dental Association, a participant in the mentoring program program at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery
• Member of the Board of the Alumni Association of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery

Dr. Frankle has been a clinical instructor in immunology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. as well as at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She has also served as a consultant to the National Institute of Dental Research (NIDR) 

Dr. Frankle has been acknowledged in her profession by numerous memberships:

• In 1993, Dr. Frankle achieved the highest level of excellence recognized in her profession by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Additionally, she is a charter member of the College of Diplomates.
• In 2003, she was inducted into the American College of Dentists, an invitational dental society acknowledging dentist noted for their excellence in publications, leadership in dentistry and community activities.
• In 2006, Dr. Frankle was inducted into the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Frankle has been recognized in several issues of the Washingtonian Magazine highlighting Best Dentists in the Washington, D.C. Region. She is also listed in the book The Best Dentists in America 2004-2005, which is an independent referral directory based on peer review process, published by Woodward/White, Inc.

Along with her three children and husband, Dr. Frankle has participated in numerous community activities. As an outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys golfing, scuba diving, hiking and white water rafting.
