Rebecca’s Dream Come True
Like so many other people, I grew up not going to the dentist. My mother was a single parent of three with a very, limited budget. Consequently, we could never afford luxuries such as regular dental care. As I entered my adolescent years, I grew very aware that my teeth were crooked, and riddled with cavities. Since then, I carefully covered my mouth when I spoke or laughed.
 
By the time I reached adulthood, my self-esteem had deteriorated along with my teeth and gums. As much as I wanted something as simple as a family photograph with my husband and daughter, I couldn’t bring myself to smile in front of a camera. I would dream about waking up one morning and my teeth would be straight and white. My life-long wish was to smile without feeling embarrassed about having neglected my teeth and mouth.
 
My life changed when I received a phone call from my cousin, Lorrie. She called to let me know that she was working for a dentist, Dr. Sease, at The Dental Group in Riverdale,  Maryland. She told me how caring and gentle he was with his patients and convinced me to make an appointment for an exam. I was petrified at the thought of what he would tell me. I was equally reluctant to hear him criticize me for taking so long to seek dental care. I wanted to cancel the time that Lorrie had scheduled for me, but I gathered my courage and kept the appointment.

From the moment I arrived, my fears and concerns vanished. Dr. Sease and his staff treated me with kindness and compassion. In addition to the TLC that I received, I had never imagined a dental office would be so “high tech” and beautifully decorated. I found myself totally at ease with the thought of receiving extensive dental treatment and actually excited about it!
 
The results of my new “makeover” have exceeded my expectations. Today, I smile all the time! My spirits have been lifted and my self-esteem has been restored. I became so motivated about improving my appearance that I committed to joining a weight loss program and managed to rid myself of 60 unwanted pounds.
 
There are no words that can express my gratitude to Dr. Sease, Dr. Park and the support staff at The Dental Group for the quality of Care that I received, the Comfort I experienced during all of  my visits, the Convenience of my appointments and their heart-felt Compassion.
